Game Recap

The Southeast Pirates utilized an explosive 1st half and an exceptional defensive performance to gain a 20-0 victory over the host West Branch Warriors Friday night. The Pirates began the game with a 13 point first quarter that included 2 touchdown runs, of 15 yards and 23 yards, from senior Kyle Stull. With 4 minutes left in the opening half, Southeast added a 27 yard touchdown strike from junior quarterback Dylan Rogers to senior wide receiver Avery Munger. In the second half the Southeast defense ended two West Branch drives inside the 5 yards line to solidify the shutout. The defense was sparked by a Munger interception and was led by freshman Michael Bolevich, who accumulated 10.5 tackles, 3 tackles for a loss, 1 sack, and 1 fumbled recovery. The leading tacklers on the night were Southeast’s senior linebacker Hunter James and Junior defensive back Cole Bailey who each had 11.5.
