Multiple Teams · Girls Soccer Upsets South Range 2-0 in State Tournament

#9 seeded Pirates beat #6 seeded South Range. Erin Fisher returned from an injury and scored the first goal on an assist from Cayley Mackey. Andrea Radcliff had a penalty kick deflected by the goalie, and the ball bounced towards Andrea and she buried it in the net for a 2-0 lead with 12 minutes remaining. The defense of Hannah Riffle, Brittany Bolevich, Amanda Willis, Lydia Fairchild, Kaley Sampson, and Elaine Guthrie secured the shutout. Elizabeth Angel had 10 saves in goal.  The girls beat a team that was 12-2-2 and had beaten us 4-1 earlier in the year. After a 3-3 start the girls have a record of 10-0-1 which is very impressive. They have a record of 13-3-1 which ties the school record for wins in a season.
